Why a fanlisting for Daria/Jane?
I don't think a five page essay could fully explain how thankful I am to Tonya for letting me adopt this fanlisting! The amount of passion and love and adoration and obsession I have for Daria and Jane's relationship is intense. They mean so much to me, both as individuals characters, and of course, as a pairing! It's hard for me to think of them just as friends, because in my mind, they are totally 100% romantically involved, but whatever the case, Daria/Jane is my all-time favorite femslash pairing in the entire universe.
Why the title, Peas in a Pod?
Tonya's original title was "Two of a Kind," which yes, is essentially the same thing as "Peas in a Pod," but for some reason, I was really fixated on the pea phrase. I don't believe in all 70+ episodes of Daria any character ever mentioned peas, but whatever. Daria and Jane are, indeed, peas in a pod, and the pod is Lawndale and anywhere else in the world. They understand each other perfectly, and in many ways, are equal. THEY BELONG TOGETHER. *snort*
